About Us
The Leaders for Health Project or LHP seeks to change the way people think, feel and behave about health.
LHP will bring together the municipal mayor, the municipal health officer and local community leaders and provide them with opportunities to develop a more comprehensive, systematic, and systemic approach in dealing with the challenges facing their local health situations. By using innovative learning approaches involving both classroom and online interactive teaching methodologies, LHP hopes to develop a corps of competent, professional and committed leaders who will provide effective and strategic leadership in various levels of the Philippine healthcare system.
Through the LHP, doctors participating in the project would earn a masteral degree in Health Care Management from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. Equally important, the project has a separate but parallel track for local chief executives and community leaders who will undergo their own capacity enhancement workshops that will provide them with the basic knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary for building and strengthening sustainable health systems in their municipalities.
The Leaders for Health Project is a result of a tripartite partnership between three industry leaders: the Department of Health (DOH), the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (AGSB) and Pfizer Philippines Foundation.
